Originally from Visalia, California, D.M. (Mike) and Teresa Escalante were married in 1996.  They served at a local church until Mike and Teresa relocated in 1998 to Washington state. This was where Mike embarked on his first military assignment with the U.S. NAVY.

While stationed there, Mike and Teresa spent countless moments ministering together in a local church leading in various positions, serving  as executive assistants, worship team, college and career, men’s and women’s ministries, and as youth directors.  #TeamEscalante, also  served  Churches  in  California  and  Virginia.  

 Mike ended his military service in 2019.  As a Veteran, Mike started a lawn care business and published articles.

Currently, Mike travels as a regional safety compliance advisor in addition to his full time job,  he is writing his first book. 

Having learned many lessons about marriage, servant leadership and team ministry and, parenting. As a result this blog was created to share insights they’ve discovered while leading and serving in the church. 

Their desire is to see congregations come together and carry out their God-given purpose within their community, and thriving for God’s glory.

Mike and Teresa’s call is to motivate people to live for Christ through their personal testimonies, biblical teaching, and leadership experience wherever the Lord leads them. Both are dynamic speakers and will have your group thankful that you invited them to your gathering.
