Thank you for waiting.

By D. M. Escalante

That is the first thought I heard when I saw the ball drop in New York. I tend to have an active imagination. I wondered if the year was a person what would He/SHE/They say (I don’t know what gender the ball in times square would be, I am covering all bases).

That phrase rang in my mind while we were all cheering and celebrating life. I heard it plain as day. How was your New Year Celebration?

I hope you were surrounded by those that you love and love you. I wish you were just thankful as I was that this is another year for progress. Your year. My Year.

Another year to get things right. To forget the past and look forward. I want to see you go forward in your Faith, Family, and Finances. This is the year to be better than your last. We begin each day a step closer to the Goal we are reaching for. Even if it has been ten days into the new year you still have time to accomplish your goals.

Psalm 90:11-17

Oh! Teach us to live well!
    Teach us to live wisely and well!
Come back, God—how long do we have to wait?—
    and treat your servants with kindness for a change.
Surprise us with love at daybreak;
    then we’ll skip and dance all day long.
Make up for the bad times with some good times;
    we’ve seen enough evil to last a lifetime.
Let your servants see what you’re best at—
    the ways you rule and bless your children.
And let the loveliness of our Lord, our God, rest on us,
    confirming the work that we do.
    Oh, yes. Affirm the work that we do!

This year let’s make our year count. We have much to share. Here is how to do it:

We start by taking our calendar, then realize that yes we can count our days and plan the next steps for our goal. We can complain and we have that right. The harsh reality is that everyone knows a sad song or two. how the hurts of the world have knocked us down or buried us. little did those circumstances know they helped us by giving us a more solid base from being knocked down and , or planting us in the soil of life. It’ss time to change the story. Change the songs of doubt and tune to the voice of the Lord.

The End

Blog: Page Error 404, what’s up?

It has been about three months since I have posted content.  The main reason behind this. Was simple:

I didn’t know what I should write about?

I ran into a wall….

    For me, I want the posts you read to speak life to you. I want to encourage you the reader with good content. You deserve it.

This means for me,  that I need to shape posts that will give hope, not just for those in ministry but also those who are challenged to remain faith-full in faith-less environments.

  I also have to remain true to myself as well.  I want to help those willing to read and soon be able to listen as we update our blog. We all have goals and dreams, honestly I am no different. I am sure that as we continue to connect. Through the posts we will both find what we are looking for as we focus on the Lord and his desire for our lives.

For those who have subscribed, Teresa and I continue to pray for you. We thank you that we get to meet you here.  In short,  I am sorry we have not posted in a while. I can understand how it might have made you feel. I assure you I will fix that starting today. Stay connected as we learn to live like Christ together.

Happy New Year to you our readers and friends…

Thank you Jesus for 2017!!

A new year is such a blessing. Amidst all the goings on of this world we have yet, another chance to accomplish great things for God and his family of believers.

I grew up in the 90’s, and there is a song that is fitting for this moment. I don’t know if you can remember but the lyrics are “…It’s been a long time, shouldn’t have left you, without a dope beat to step to…” I better quit while I am at it, ha-ha.I don’t want to be a stumbling block.

Seriously, it has been awhile! I wonder how is everyone doing? What have you been up to, lately? What new things have you experienced?

I perceive you would want to know why I haven’t’ been writing? I cannot cop out and excuse this as I was too busy to write. Because we all know or hate to admit that “we make time for the things that are important to us.” This is true, we do make time for the activities that we find important.

This was not the case for me because each of our readers are important. Well to avoid more suspense up here goes: I was on Deployment. I know? Were you expecting something real scandalous? Sorry for my candor, I am very thankful that I am back with my family. It was tough being away from home, I am very sorry that I did not tell you, our readers what was going on.

      I am sure in light of current events you would understand our decision to take a break from putting up new posts. My prayer is that if we must take a break, we will be able serve you better. so hang tight, new posts come out mid Feb ’17.

I can assure you now, Teresa and I will be at it. Sharing our experiences and nuggets of wisdom we have picked up along the way. God bless you!
