Thank you for waiting.

By D. M. Escalante

That is the first thought I heard when I saw the ball drop in New York. I tend to have an active imagination. I wondered if the year was a person what would He/SHE/They say (I don’t know what gender the ball in times square would be, I am covering all bases).

That phrase rang in my mind while we were all cheering and celebrating life. I heard it plain as day. How was your New Year Celebration?

I hope you were surrounded by those that you love and love you. I wish you were just thankful as I was that this is another year for progress. Your year. My Year.

Another year to get things right. To forget the past and look forward. I want to see you go forward in your Faith, Family, and Finances. This is the year to be better than your last. We begin each day a step closer to the Goal we are reaching for. Even if it has been ten days into the new year you still have time to accomplish your goals.

Psalm 90:11-17

Oh! Teach us to live well!
    Teach us to live wisely and well!
Come back, God—how long do we have to wait?—
    and treat your servants with kindness for a change.
Surprise us with love at daybreak;
    then we’ll skip and dance all day long.
Make up for the bad times with some good times;
    we’ve seen enough evil to last a lifetime.
Let your servants see what you’re best at—
    the ways you rule and bless your children.
And let the loveliness of our Lord, our God, rest on us,
    confirming the work that we do.
    Oh, yes. Affirm the work that we do!

This year let’s make our year count. We have much to share. Here is how to do it:

We start by taking our calendar, then realize that yes we can count our days and plan the next steps for our goal. We can complain and we have that right. The harsh reality is that everyone knows a sad song or two. how the hurts of the world have knocked us down or buried us. little did those circumstances know they helped us by giving us a more solid base from being knocked down and , or planting us in the soil of life.It’ss time to change the story. Change the songs of doubt and tune to the voice of the Lord.

I was a young man who worked for a great organization "Forged by the Sea." Now I'm an old head kicking back on the east side; where the sun doesn't set. I'm a man who is pursuing his contributions to the world. I'm not perfect. In fact, a work in progress until Jesus takes me home. Philippians 1:6
