Leading – D.M.Escalante

Leadership is not always pretty. I watch how the movies serve up the hero; smooth, calm and, collective. Calling the shots like a boss.
It makes me want to be like that leader or that coach we see in the movies. I watched the movie Remember the Titans and how during one part of the movie the coach was breaking the rest of the team down. My friend says “ man, I could totally do that!!” I simply chuckled, as I  thought to myself.

Because leaders in leadership make it look easy. We look to them and believe they are larger than life. We assume no evil befalls them . they don’t have craziness going on in their life.
In reality, it is totally different. Leaders are actively working when others are just getting to work. Leaders are those who bring a solution to the complaint they may have.

But leaders are human. They endure family issues, not a one of them are perfect. But leaders are tough. They push when others quit. They thrive when others die off because they have “grit” and sheer will.
Leaders purpose their days, and not allow their days to rule them. They fight to complete priorities because leaders are finishers.
If you want to lead, I just gave you some good guidance to start.

Here is the secret, you can already do this stuff. You might have to square up with the reflection in the mirror and must choose to be the leader you desire to be.
I bet you have some questions and that is great, I want you to have ask questions. How do you lead where you are? What if no one is following you? What would Jesus do, lol. I hope we can discover together what it takes to lead from a biblical perspective. share you questions.  what does leadership look like to you?
So let’s pack our bags and go on this trip..

..Thank you for reading my post I hope we can connect in the future. If you have any prayer requests let’s connect and join in prayer together (it’s free). God bless you.

Blog: Page Error 404, what’s up?

It has been about three months since I have posted content.  The main reason behind this. Was simple:

I didn’t know what I should write about?

I ran into a wall….

For me, I want the posts you read to speak life to you. I want to encourage you the reader with good content. You deserve it.

This means for me,  that I need to shape posts that will give hope, not just for those in ministry but also those who are challenged to remain faith-full in faith-less environments.

I also have to remain true to myself as well.  I want to help those willing to read and soon be able to listen as we update our blog. We all have goals and dreams, honestly I am no different. I am sure that as we continue to connect. Through the posts we will both find what we are looking for as we focus on the Lord and his desire for our lives.

For those who have subscribed, Teresa and I continue to pray for you. We thank you that we get to meet you here.  In short,  I am sorry we have not posted in a while. I can understand how it might have made you feel. I assure you I will fix that starting today. Stay connected as we learn to live like Christ together.
