Never Give Up

There are three words that can encourage a person to greatness. You see it said in the movies especially towards the end. Whether it’s two more steps or four yards to freedom, the hero will not give up because victory is in his/her grasp.
What about about the average soldier in the army of the Lord? The soldier fights in prayer, the soldier studies the mission, (the word) for in it lies the victory, then the obstacle presents itself-thus begins the battle. The war rages and soon the Christian is faced with a decision to either accept the defeat of having their friend they have spent time sharing the gospel reject the Lords’ invitation or remember that the battle is not for the soldier to fight, rather it is the Lord’s.
Don’t give up friend, continue to share what the Lord has done for all of us, his saving message is what needs to be heard. Youth ministry is HARD and that can seem like an understatement, but you LEADER were called there for such a time as this. You were called to never give up, or throw your hands up when the going gets rough.  Never give up being Jesus’s hands and feet. Complete the connection of your students heart to the heart of the father. Remember, in the end He wins…….. that is what was on my mind, how about yours?

“WILL-power”.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”

-Proverbs 16:3

What is God’s Plan for my life?

What is the next step in Ministry?

What is the answer to question 12 on today’s pop quiz?

What do I want to be when I grow up?

You may have asked some of these questions yourself? I have, and I wanted to know what the word said about it. What is the Lord’s will for my life?

For some “multitaskers” these uniquely gifted people can commit to many things; work projects, home, sports, and family each with satisfactory results. For myself (I have not fully developed this precious skill) I struggle focusing on just one of the many projects I have here.

There is hope for me, and I am fully convinced there is for you as well. The Lord knew that with the knowledge that we could posses we would encounter obstacles that easily can be conquered by our finite thinking, and he foreknew that many would try and plan without God only to succumb to their own conclusion. However, this particular verse states that whatever we do committing that subject fully to the Lord will succeed.

See my friend, in order to find the will of God we must first RECOGNIZE whose “WILL” power we are truly seeking.

This verse can seem pretty elementary to understand. I challenge you to really contemplate on these few words that speak volumes to the attuned soul.

Faint Not …

My Dad knows concrete. He has been doing that work for close to 40 years.  He has a lot of experience and can do whatever kind of custom walk or patio addition that you have planned.  He is the best there is.

During one of my visits home I drove up as my Dad was cleaning one of his tools.  It looked like some kind of bug spray can. I asked him what it was for and he told me that he sprays this chemical on the forms so that when the concrete is poured into the forms, the boards won’t stick to the slab during the curing process.

I can’t remember exactly what chemical it was that Dad puts on those boards, but I can tell you that as a leader whether in your home or church you do need faith that repels whatever concrete gets splashed on you- when the project is over and it’s time to tear down and rest, you can rest without thinking about that negative stuff.

“He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increases strength.”

-Isaiah 40:29

Remember that when push comes to shove you must recognize that God has your back.   This is a promise that if you as his son or daughter feel empty the Lord will fill you up.   He will give you what you need to repel the issues that tend to harden on you.  Continue to press through, it is worth the breakthrough-just keep going!

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. “

-Galatians 6:9
